Hiya features a standard HHKB layout with a 6u spacebar. To facilitate assembly, each Hiya set includes a set of stabilizers (Swagkeys Knight stabilizers, consisting of 6u x1, 2u x4).

The available colors for Hiya are Creamy White, Warm Grey, and Black Flash, all of which are coated finishes.

The plate and PCB do not have any flex cuts, and the PCB thickness is 1.6mm.

The mount method is top mount, and provides two different assembly gaskets to meet different typing preferences.

The keyboard has an 8-degree typing angle and a front height of 20.8mm.
