Introduction

As you know, 2022 was the year we officially launched Qwertykeys and dropped our very first product—the QK65. Since then, in the 65% layout category, we have successively released three iterations: the QK65, QK65 v2, and QK65 v2 Classic. And today, we're excited to officially introduce the next one—the QK65 Mk3. 

At its core, the keyboard’s design philosophy seeks to evoke a shared nostalgia — a collective memory of gaming’s formative years that continues to shape our sense of play.

The moment I first held the QK65 Mk3 in my hands, my mind drifted back to the early days when I first got into the keyboard community. Back then, every unboxing felt like unwrapping a gift—different designs, colorways, sounds, and typing feels always brought unexpected surprises.

Theme Animations

Dynamic Island

The Dynamic Island continues the interactive experience from the QK101. It primarily displays keyboard status information, supports turning on/off and resizing, but more importantly, it emphasizes DIY customization. This feature supports uploading multiple GIFs as foreground and background layers. You can use hotkeys to switch between foreground and background, creating your desired combinations. Both GIFs will adjust their playback speed based on your typing rhythm. You can also choose to upload only a background GIF for pure GIF display. Feel free to experiment and have fun with it!

Cat and Dog Theme

Building on the widely loved cat typing theme from the QK80 Mk2, the on-screen cat now mirrors your keystrokes in real-time—when you press a key, the cat taps the same one (with special reactions for modifier keys!). The faster you type, the more frantically the hamster at the top runs, eventually flopping down when tired, creating a highly engaging and playful experience.

We’ve also introduced a new digital god skin, echoing the puppy design on the back badge, adding even more interaction and fun to your typing sessions.

Animal Supermarket

This is a newly designed animated theme.

We've included an engaging typing challenge mini-game: when the "3-2-1" countdown ends, you’ll step into the role of a supermarket cashier, warmly welcoming animal customers as they come to supermarket.

You need to type the correct words to help them buy items from the shopkeeper. But don’t get careless—if you make a typo, the shopkeeper will "lovingly" give you a playful slap!

The game records your all-time high score.Let's try to take on the challenge within the time limit and see how many customers you can successfully check out!

The Dot-Matrix Display continues the 3 themes previously featured on the QK101 and QK80 Mk2.

PCB Gasket Structure

The gasket structure, renowned for its signature soft, bouncy feel and clean acoustic signature, has become one of the dominant design approaches in the custom keyboard community. As an important evolution of this design, the PCB Gasket structure introduces a key innovation: it uses the PCB directly as the sole supporting structure, replacing the rigid mounting plate found in traditional gasket builds. This design enables the PCB to serve the dual core functions of switch fixation and force transmission simultaneously, ultimately achieving an enhanced combination of typing feel consistency and improved sound profile.

Bottom Acoustic Chamber

The resonance space in the bottom case follows the design philosophy of the QK80 Mk2 and further expands the acoustic chamber area. By filling more gaps around the switch sockets, sound reflections become more concentrated and uniform.

Foam Kit

In the past, to accommodate different layouts, we had to pre-cut extensive slots in the plate foam, IXPE sheet and PET sheet, which often compromised their effectiveness.

This time, the QK65 Mk3 features tear-notched plate foam, IXPE sheet, and PET sheet, allowing users to easily customize them according to their specific layout needs. This design minimizes excessive pre-cutting, ensuring optimal sound performance and fully unleashing the acoustic potential of the QK65 Mk3.

PCB

To further refine the typing experience and sound profile, we have eliminated layout compatibility in this PCB iteration while equipping all versions with per-key RGB lighting.
